Out in the garden

Out in the garden , under a tree, sitting on a seat , am deep thinking as to how to start my Blog. One of my daughters has created a blog for me & here i am scratching my head - No problem!
Being a busy Mom all these years, some of my hobbies had been pushed on to the attic along with fairy tale books, as my babies were growing up. When I was a mom for two, I was working hard in our big garden, my mom-in-law was helping me in looking after the little ones & Father- in-law was a very good guide in raising the Garden. So we have sweet memories of a beautiful garden, with tall Sunflower plants with huge flower on top suiting to the size of the plant, Zenias, Merrygolds in multi colours, double dwarf colourful balsomes, big bushes of gallerdias, and Zinialiniaris to name a few. These were raised time to time seasonally along with hibiscus, Gorti in many colours, Ratngandhi, Nandibattlu, etc. etc which are all perennials. The source for the seeds was a company called Pocha Seeds - a favourite of my father-in-law's. These flowers were used for Puja, & making garlands. That reminds me of a fragrant variety of jasmine blooming only in the first rain, for a short time. The creeper had spread on a tree & was giving lots of flowers in the season. We used to make garlands & send them to the temple. Garland-Making is also an art, & we have competitions in garlanding at festival times in the town at different temples.
This is the fairy tale since we shifted to a new home 20 years ago.
more in the next.
